    At Victory Mental Health Consulting, we work with small mental health practitioners. We provide both billing and paneling services and provide our clients with a personal touch and fast turn-around times. 

    We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Billing and Collections Specialist to join our team. This is a fully remote contractor role with the possibility to become a permanent contractor role after 4 – 6 months. You are a great fit if you're self-driven, highly organized, and an enthusiastic team player. 

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Applicant must have:

    • Excellent organizational as well as verbal and written communication skills.
    • Good multi-tasking skills.
    • Ability to function well in a fast paced environment.
    • Great customer service skills.
    • Be reliable.
    • Proven high level of confidentiality and professionalism.  

    This is not an entry level position:
    • Qualified candidate must have at least 2+ years medical billing experience.
    • Familiarity with Medicaid and commercial insurance billing procedures.
    • Experience with Main Menu, MyClientsPlus, and Excel software is a plus.
    • Previous medical billing experience with mental health billing medical knowledge required.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    The basic job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Insurance verification of benefits.
    • Claim review and submission.
    • Charge posting.
    • A/R review and follow up.
    • Trouble shooting denied claims.
    • Patient billing and collections.

    This is not an entry level position:
    • Qualified candidate must have at least 2+ years medical billing A/R follow up and/or denials management and appeal writing experience.
    • Familiarity with and understanding of Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and also of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding standards.
    • Experience with Main Menu, MyClientsPlus, and Excel software is a plus.
    • Previous medical billing experience with mental health billing medical knowledge required.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    The basic job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Working complex denials across multiple payers and/or regions.
    • Account history research and review and claims follow-up research for review.
    • Gathering documentation and resubmitting corrected claims.
    • Troubleshooting denied claims for defense and appeal.
    • Analyzing payer account reconciliation discrepancies and identifying causes for resolution.
    • Patient billing and A/R follow up, denial recovery, prevention and appeal writing activities, with a deep insight into understanding of payer contracts.
